Janice Lindsay

  Services for Janice West Lindsay will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 1 pm from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Chris Young officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19,2020 at 11:30 am until service time.  McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be held Monday, January 20, 2020 at 12 noon at Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale, AL. Mrs. Lindsay , 57,of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Janice grew up in Bay Springs and Philadelphia, Ms.  She married her beloved husband, Bruce Lindsay in 1986 and made her home in Gardendale, AL until she moved back to Philadelphia in 2011. She had an associate degree from Wood Junior College and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant and formerly worked for Mississippi Blood Services as a phlebotomist.  Mrs. Lindsay was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church and attended First United Methodist Church of Philadelphia.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Bruce Lindsay; parents, Max and Virginia West; sisters, Penny Dickerson(Kenny) and Cindy Thomas (Randy) all of Philadelphia; step-daughters, Stephanie Dunlap (Jason) of Gardendale, AL and Cori Brown Of Guntersville AL; three grandchildren and three step-  grandchildren ;brother-in-law, Brian Lindsay (Debbie); sister-in-law, Karen Daughtery , all of Gardendale, AL; numerous nieces, nephews , great-nieces, great nephews and their families. Preceded in death by her daughter, Rachel Lindsay; grandparents, Hollie and Mozell Segrest and Hollie and Mellie West. In lieu of flowers family request memorials may be made to First United Methodist church in Philadelphia or your favorite charity.
