Funeral services for Jan Willis Smith will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Scotty Boatner and Bro. Jason Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 from 11 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith, 68, of Philadelphia died Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Arlington Community of Neshoba County. She graduated from Neshoba Central High School where she excelled in basketball, where the girls team only lost 15 games in the three years she played. She was retired from Chata Enterprises where she worked as a shipping manager for the wire harness plant and had formerly worked at Nemanco and Garan. Mrs. Smith was a member of West Philadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include husband of 50 years, Dwight Smith of Philadelphia; daughters, Brooke Clay (Craig) of Philadelphia and Lindsey Smith of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Hunter Clay, Pvt. Joseph Clay, Jon Willis Clay, Wyatt Goforth and Bella Brooke Goforth; sister, Renee “Nacy” Willis of Philadelphia; brothers, Perry Willis of Starkville and T.J. Burrow of Brandon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Charline Willis.
