A private graveside service for James William “Bill” Nicholson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020, from Morrow Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Scott Bounds and Rev. Landon Bounds officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Nicholson, 85, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at J. G. Alexander Nursing Home in Union, MS. A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, he was a graduate of Dixon High School. He worked as an auto mechanic for several years; and then worked at Nemanco until his retirement. He loved fishing, cutting grass, and being outdoors. He loved his Diet Coke. Mr. Nicholson served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of Dixon Presbyterian Church. Survivors include daughter, Tammy Bounds (Scott) of Union; grandchildren, Landon and Lauren Bounds; sister, Barbara Ann Thaggard; brother, Larry Nicholson (Charlotte), both of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by parents, Ollie and Beatrice Nicholson; and brother, John Paul Nicholson. Pallbearers are Mike Tingle, Randy Nicholson, Jeffery Nicholson, Chad Baysinger, Landon Bounds and Cody Nicholson.
