James Edward Jones Sr.

Graveside memorial services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday December 15th 2024, from Bloomfield Cemetery. Bro. Mike Sullivan will be officiating.

James was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. Graduate from Neshoba Central High School. James dedicated his career to the field of surveying for the Mississippi Dept. of Transportation for several years until he retired in 2011 where he was known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to his work. His contributions to his community through his profession will be long remembered. James also enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Shay (Billy) Ward of Philadelphia; son, Jamie (Lisa) Jones of Vardamon; grandchildren, Lee (Amber) Jones, Summer (Raymond) Farlow, Dalton Spivey, Katie Ward, Billy (Morgan) Ward, Jr., Curtis (Summer) Ward, Jase Herrington and Leigh Herrington; a host of great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Christi) Jones of Collinsville; and a host of nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his loving parents, William Thomas Jones and Bonnie Kate Jones, whose memories he cherished deeply.
