Services for James J. “Bug” Fox will be held Friday, August 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Warren, Rev. Gerald Butler and Rev. Ray Luke officiating. Burial will follow in Coy Methodist Cemetery in Kemper County. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 6 until 9 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Fox, 86, of Shuqualak, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Louisville Healthcare Center. He was a native and longtime resident of Kemper County and lived in Noxubee County for the past 28 years. After retirement from Fairbanks Scales in Meridian, he operated a road machine for Noxubee County and worked for Barge Wood Products for several years. Mr. Fox was a member of Macedonia Methodist Church in Shuqualak. Survivors include his wife, Eddie Pearl Fox of Shuqualak; one granddaughter, Andrea Kelly (Dave) of Baton Rouge, LA; stepson, Timothy Lyn Conner (Sherrie) of Macon; three step-grandchildren, Heather Roark (Evans), Ryan Conner, Ashley Nicole Conner; three step-great-grandchildren, Troy Roark, Trent Roark and Trace Roark; sisters, Gladys Wilson of Florence, Annie Mae Miles of Raymond and Erma Robertson (Charlie) of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Fox; daughter, Linda Fulton; parents, Ethel and Myrtle Warren; sister, Bobbie Jean Goodin; and brother, Johnny Fox.
