James David "Jl" Pierce

Graveside services for James David “JL” Pierce will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 3 p.m. from Golden Grove Cemetery. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pierce, 80, of Carthage, died Sunday, May 24, 2020. He was a native of Kemper County and lived most of his life in Neshoba County. He loved his family, never met a stranger, had a good heart and enjoyed being around people. Mr. Pierce was a member of Golden Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Edmonds of Noxapater, Martha Anding of Union, Brenda McNeil of Lena and Nora Ainsworth of Noxapater; son, Jason Pierce (Gail) of Vardaman; step- daughter, Nancy Coats (David) of Philadelphia; step-son, Scott Keen of Philadelphia; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Bessie Bryant (George) of Gautier; a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his son, Edward Pierce; sisters, Bonnie Keen and Myrtle Miller.
