A family graveside service for J. M. McLain will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at 2:00 from Cedarlawn Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. McLain, 71, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 19, 2020, at his home. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He was a retired sheet metal worker. Mr. McLain was Baptist by faith. Survivors include two sons, Edward Toombs (Victoria) of Richland and Larry Toombs of Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Mika Nolen, Lee Toombs and Paige Alcala; nine great-grandchildren, Charles Cain Nolen, Madison Nolen, Abigail Alcala, Addison Alcala, Alicia Alcala, Raven Toombs, Lance Toombs, Landon Toombs and Mallery Camp; sisters, Scherrie Berry of Philadelphia and Lynn Rux of Pelahatchie; brother, Jessie McLain of Waveland, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. McLain was preceded in death by his wife, Edna McLain; parents, Bennie and Isola McLain; brothers, Freddie McLain and Ray McLain.
