Ilene Spears

Graveside services for Ilene Spears will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. from Old Pearl Valley Valley Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Nolan Pinter officiating. Mrs. Spears, 88, of Pelahatchie, died Friday, August, 14, 2020, at Bedford Care in Newton. A native of Neshoba County, she was a resident of Pelahatchie for several years. Survivors include three grandchildren, Charlie Spears (Kathy), Ann (Yates) Fortenberry, Carol (Stanley) Fortenberry, all of Forest; five great-grandchildren, Cece Hillhouse, Megan Hillhouse, Eric Spears, Jeremy Spears, Ashley Spears; one great-great-grandson, Noah Casey Hillhouse; brother, Delbert Glynn McCown (Gloria) of Jupiter, FL; and daughter-in-law, Clarie Spears Hillhouse of Leaksville. Mrs. Spears was preceded in death by husband, Lamar Spears; two sons, Wayne Spears and William Spears; parents; Dessie and William Edward McCown; and sister, Hilda Wyvonne Franklin. Pallbearers are Stanley Fortenberry, Edward King, Jimmy Knowles, Nathan Turnage, Willie Tubby, and Christopher Thrift. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Spears and Jeremy Spears.
