Helen Ruth Cumberland

Services for Helen Ruth Cumberland will be held Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Buddy Covington and Rev. Michael Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cumberland, 83, died Saturday, September 12, 2020, at her home. She was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of the House Community. She formerly worked as a sewing machine operator at Decatur Shirt Company, Garan and Nemanco in Philadelphia. Mrs. Cumberland was a member of Bloomfield Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter, Jan Stewart (Rockie) of Philadelphia, MS; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Racheal Stewart of Meridian, MS and Gaynell Bozard of Vancleave, MS; several nieces and nephews and their families. Mrs. Cumberland was preceded in death by husband, Bobby Joe Cumberland; sons, Bennie Cumberland and Bobby Cumberland, Jr.; and grandson, Joseph Cumberland.
