Harvey S. Dickerson

Service for Harvey S. Dickerson will be held Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 1 p.m. from the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS, with Rev. Dennis Robinson officiating.   Mr. Dickerson, 82, died Monday, October 22, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian. He was a native of Louisville, MS, and a resident of Neshoba County for 22 years.  He retired as a Senior Chief in the U. S. Navy.  Mr. Dickerson attended Vardaman Baptist Church in Kemper County. Survivors include wife of 50 years, Violet “Dottie” Dickerson of Philadelphia; daughters, Pamela June Norris and Diane Klauck, both of Philadelphia; son, Duane Dickerson (Amy) of Ladson, S. C.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayren Dickerson (Wanda) of Louisville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by parents, Marshall and Lillie Mae Dickerson; sisters, Maxine Mills and Velma Mayo; and brother, John Dickerson.
