Grace Anthony Cannon

November 4, 1935 — June 14, 2019

Services for Grace Cannon will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 2 p.m. at McClain Chapel Church in Neshoba County with Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon until time of service at the church.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Mrs. Cannon, 83, of Philadelphia, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native of East Neshoba Community and longtime resident of DeKalb, MS.  She retired from Northern Electric Manufacturing in DeKalb.  Mrs. Cannon was Apostolic by faith. Survivors include daughters, Georgia (John Paul) Darnell of DeKalb, Linda Chism of Philadelphia, Kaye Fulton of Preston; son, Billy Wayne (Brenda Ann) Pilgrim of Preston; grandchildren, Tonia Holley, Jason Hudnall, Jimmy Wayne McGowen, Joseph McGowen, Jonathan McGowen, Olivia Johnson, Crystal Rogers, John Alan Darnell, Robert Williams, Sean Fulton, Shandon Fulton, Wendy Michelle Froberg, Candy Pilgrim, Rita Nichole Pilgrim, Mary Ann Cumberland, Sheila Miller; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Evelyn Moore, Carolyn Copeland, Shelby Anthony, Shirley Buckley. Mrs. Cannon was preceded in death by children, Carolyn Pilgrim McGowen and Katherine Pilgrim Hudnall; brothers, Oliver Anthony, Otha Anthony; sister, Frances Fryery. Pallbearers are Jimmy Wayne McGowen, Jonathan McGowen, Joseph McGowen, John Alan Darnell, Robert Williams, Sean Fulton, Shandon Fulton, Eli Ward, Jason Hudnall.
