Gladys Wilson

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Wilson will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2 pm from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery in Kemper County. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11 am until service time at McClain Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilson, 84, of Florence, MS died Wednesday, October 28, 2020. She was a native of Kemper County and graduated from Lynville High School in 1954 and was a resident of Rankin County for the past 53 years. She worked as a Data Entry Operator for the MS Dept. of Health until she retired in 2000. Mrs. Wilson loved to fish, do gardening work and going to the casino. She is survived by her sons, Wayne Wilson and Mike Wilson of Florence; grandchildren, Nick Wilson, John Wilson, David Wilson, James Wilson, Marvin Wilson (Amy), and Josh Wilson; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Miles of Raymond and Erma Robertson (Charley) of Philadelphia; sister-in-laws, Flora Wilson of Preston and Eddie Pearl Fox of Shuqualak; a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her son, Sammy Dale Wilson; parents, Ethel and Myrtle Fox; brothers, James and Johnny Fox; sister, Bobbie Jean Thornton.
