Services for Gertrude Clark Shoemaker will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 11 a.m. from New Bethel Baptist Churchwith Rev. Curt Pace and Rev. Eric Sharp officiating. Burial will be in the New Bethel cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and 30 minutes prior to service time on Tuesdayat New Bethel Baptist Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Mrs. Shoemaker, 102, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Mississippi Care Center in Morton.A native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.Survivors include three daughters, Iva Lou (Junior) Savell and Maggie (John) Harrington both of Philadelphia andSylvia (Perry) Moore of Morton; eight grandchildren, Shirley Moore, Ron Moore, Jeff(Dana)Moore, Dalton Savell,David(Lynn)Savell, Raymond(Wanda)Savell, Tony(Opal)Savell and Andy(Cynthia)Savell; 12 great-grandchildren, Joshua(Nickie)Savell, Matthew(Brittney)Savell, Jennifer Savell, Austin Savell, Thomas Savell, Leann Coats, Michael Savell,Ivie Savell, Chloe Savell, Jason Moore, Jennifer Moore and Faith Denton; 11 great-great-grandchildren and a hostof nieces and nephews.Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Shoemaker, three great-grandchildren, Amanda Savell,Raymond Dale Savell, Jr. and Anthony Savell; parents, Robert and Della Clark; three sisters, Ruby Johnson, Nannie Mae Spears and Genova Garner.
