Services for George Clifton McKee will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from East Philadelphia Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at East Philadelphia Baptist Church. Interment will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. George Clifton McKee was born November 5, 1928 in Neshoba County in the Shady Grove community. His main occupation was co-owner of M&S Furniture. He was a member of East Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. George’s most prized possession was his family and he always put them before himself. His primary passion was fishing. Later in life he realized that he should fish more than he should work. But whatever he did he did it to the best of his ability always determined to finish his task. He never met a stranger and was adored by his many friends. In all that he did he gave all the credit to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bonnie Chesney McKee; two daughters, Glenda McKee Skinner and Sharon McKee Richardson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Marie McKee Neal. Pallbearers will be Scott Skinner, Chaz Richardson, Cole Richardson, Clay Richardson, Dylan Skinner, Caleb McCown, Devin Skinner, Josh McCown and Isaac McCown. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to East Philadelphia Baptist Church Youth and Children's Fund.
