Funeral services for Genoise Myers Manning will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Larry Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Manning, 80, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was a native of Winston County and a longtime resident of Greenville, MS and moved back to Neshoba County after her retirement. She was a retired secretary for an Insurance Agency in Greenville, MS. Mrs. Manning attended Ebenezer Baptist Church in Attala County. She loved to hunt and fish in her later years. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Nassar (Jeff) of Searcy, AR; sons, Ray Manning (Kathy) and Rex Manning (Tina) all of Leland, MS; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Lee Myers (Hilda) of Philadelphia; sisters, Kayron Gentry (Bobby) of Ethel, Gay Fedrick (Melvin) of Philadelphia, Sara Myers and Tammy Peeler (Pete) all of Kosciusko; brother-in-law, Mike Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, D.R. Manning; parents, Winford and Jeanette Myers; sister, Debbie Davis. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church, 8608 Attala Road 5015, Ethel, MS 39067 or your favorite charity. Pallbearers, Charles Manning, Wes Manning, Donald Manning, Dustin Venable, Bob Myers and Marty Fedrick.
