Frankie P. Harpole

Funeral services for Frankie P. Harpole will be held from McClain-Hays Chapel at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 13, 2025 with Bro. David Storment officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 9:30 am until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Harpole was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She saw beauty in everyone and everything around her. Having taught third grade for over thirty years, she inspired many children to reach their full potential. As an accomplished artist, she was still painting stunning landscapes the last week of her life.

Frankie passed away on March 8, 2025 after a sudden illness. Surviving members of her family are her daughters; Lorraine Blount (David) and Jessica Bailey (Ty); grandsons, Clay Blount, Andrew Bailey (Jessica), and Simon Bailey (Ashley); six great-grandchildren, and sister; Tommie Banks.

The family requests that any charitable donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, where Frankie has been a member since childhood.

A family friend described her as “a real sweetheart without a mean or cunning bone in her body.” She will be greatly missed by her family and the Philadelphia community.

Pallbearers will be Eric Prince, Jim Prince, Mark Duncan, Craig Brown, Dan Cumberland, Ray Brown, Rex Webb and Lee Mims.
