Evelyn Strickline

Graveside services for Evelyn Strickline will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Fentress Baptist Church Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Strickline, 82, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 12, 2023. Evelyn was a native of Hornersville, MO where she graduated High School in 1959. For many years she worked at Wal-Mart in Starkville and the Neshoba Central Middle School for several more years until retirement. Mrs. Strickline was Baptist by faith. Survivors include son, Randy Strickline (Suzy) of Memphis; daughter, Susan Strickline of Philadelphia; brothers, Bill Overman (Brenda) of Michigan, Jack Overman (Pat) of Michigan and Richard Overman (Molly) of Missouri; sister-in-law, Bertha Overman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Strickline was preceded in death by husband, Homer Strickline; grandson, Turner Blaine; and 10 siblings. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: Open Arms Food Ministries in Philadelphia.
