Services for Ethel “Mamaw” Wilson will be held Monday, April 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Dwight Wilson, Rev. Wayne Wilson, Rev. Tony Wilson, and Rev. Tim Vowell will be officiating . Burial will follow in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 21, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilson, 91, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 20, 2019. She was a native of Goodman Community of Attala County and a longtime resident of Philadelphia. She was a longtime owner/operator of child care in her home. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Philadelphia where she loved her Sunday School Class of 68 years and where she kept the nursery. Survivors include her daughter, Rita Page (Glenn) of House; sons, Dwight (Judy) Wilson of Clinton, Arkansas , Wayne (Peggy) Wilson of Picayune, Ms. and Larry (Judy Ann) Wilson of Philadelphia, Ms.; Eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; four sisters, Rita Sluder of Texarkana, Tx., Helen McElhenney of Collinsville, Ms., Shirley Marie Chisholm of Jackson, Ms., and Linda Ashworth of Goldsboro, N.C.; brother, James Sims of Madison, Ms.; numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. Special caregiver - schnauzer—Lady Lucy. Preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Wilson; two sisters, Sara Kimes Grant, Margaret Waddell, and an infant brother. Pallbearers are David Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Jason Myers, Dustin Wilson, Bryan Wilson, Troy Boyle, Dathan Wilson, and Jerry Wilson.
