Funeral services for Elsie Illene Akins McGee will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Randall Dunaway and Bro. Randy McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Henry’s Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 for 5:00-8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McGee, 87, of Pensacola, FL, died Sunday, April 24, 2022. Ms Elsie was a native of Neshoba County and a resident of Florida for the past 14 years. She worked at Garan Garment Factory and Wells Lamont Glove Factory for several years. She enjoyed being a homemaker and fishing with her late husband, Audie and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Mrs. McGee was a member of New Zion Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Lou Collins (John) of West Plain, MO; sons, Randy Phillips McGee and Ronald Franklin McGee of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Terrell McCoy, Jr., Robert Wade McCoy, Michael Anthony Collins (Carrie), Rebbeca Sue Hutchings (Kirk), Ronald Blake McGee and Matthew Phillips McGee; great-grandchildren, Shonti and Kyle Addison, Shelby Hutchins, Christian Beckham, Lucas and Morgan Collins; sister, Mary Katherine Sullivan of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her husband, Audie McGee; daughter, Ruth Elizabeth McCoy; sisters, Clara Lucille Johnson and Sarah Frances Peoples; brothers, Joe Phillips, W.H., Max Carroll and Perry Lynn Akins. Pallbearers are Lucas Collins, Kyle Addison, Michael Collins, Robert McCoy, Terrell McCoy, Jr., and Kirk Hutchins.
