Elmarieen Cox

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County with Rev. Nick Ulmer and Rev. Bobby Cumberland officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Ms. Cox, 87, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, February 26, 2023. A native and longtime resident of Neshoba County, she worked for U. S. Motors in Philadelphia for 28 years until retirement. She enjoyed working in her garden and doing yard work. Ms. Cox was a member of Longino Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Cox (Nancy) of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Stevie Richardson (Ann), Ashley Eakes (Jay), Josh Jackson (Paige), Gary Cox (September), Cody Cox (Valeria), and Chasity Plum; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Cox was preceded in death by her son, Robert Orman Cox; her daughter, Virginia Ann Jackson; her parents and three sisters. Pallbearers are Stevie Richardson, Jay Eakes, Josh Jackson, Gary Cox, Cody Cox, and Ely Richardson.
