Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (House Community). Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until departure at McClain Hays Funeral Home. Edsel Burnside of Spring, TX, died Thursday May 19, 2022. Edsel, was a native of Neshoba County, and a resident of Spring, TX. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Civil Engineering Degree in 1978. He began his career working for Schlumberger and remained there for 32 years. He also did Consulting for various oil companies ending with Patterson Drilling, in Pennsylvania, completely retiring in 2015. He loved his family, enjoyed visiting Neshoba County, teaching Sunday school, and cooking and talking about Sports, Neshoba County News and World events. He is survived by his wife, Anna Burnside of Spring, TX; step daughter, Lisa Couling of Panama City, FL; step granddaughter, Maddie Couling Spring, TX; sister, Amy Allen (Mike) of Philadelphia, MS; brothers, Elliott Burnside (Janet) of Ponte Vedra, FL, Mark Burnside of Ft. Worth, TX; nephew, Walt Burnside(Genie)of Christiana, TN; nieces, Ashley Richardson (Brice) of Philadelphia, MS ,Emily Smith (Nick) of Brandon, MS, and Megan Reedy (Justin) of Flowood, MS. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pershing and Marjorie Burnside; grandmother, Jewell Elliott; step- son, Alex Couling and niece, Joy Parsons.
