Services for Edna Earl Sistrunk will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 12:00 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Don Savell and Rev. Steve Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sistrunk, 92, of Philadelphia, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was born in Leake County, MS, but spent most of her life in Neshoba County, MS. Mrs. Sistrunk was a longtime member of Arlington Baptist Church. She retired with 30 years-plus from Wells-Lamont Corporation. She loved to fish and was known for her great cooking. She dearly loved her family; and had a special pet cat, “Dumpster”, whom she also greatly loved. Survivors include daughter, Jimmie Copeland (Larry) of Philadelphia; grandchild, Jaye-Jaye Cox (Rodney) of Enterprise, AL; great-grandson, Billy Joseph Goodwin of Enterprise, AL; sister, Genoby Wattles (Vernon) of Leake County, MS. Mrs. Sistrunk was preceded in death by husband, Billy W. Sistrunk; daughter, Tommie Sue Daniels, brother, Curtis McDonald, Eugene McDonald, and Wade McDonald; parents, William C. “Jack” McDonald and Ada Elmerine McDonald. Pallbearers are Ricky McDonald, Donnie McDonald, Kent Clark, Eddie Nowell, Jerry Drury, and Scott Breazeale.
