Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Carl Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Sellers, 68, of Union, died Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Neshoba General Hospital. A lifelong resident of Neshoba County, he was a graduate of PHS in 1973, and MCC where he earned his degree in electrical engineering. He studied Soke Shotokan-Jiu-jitsu and earned his eighth-degree black belt. He taught karate for 41 years and began his own style of karate. He was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Los Angeles, CA, and was eight time fighting champion in the Mississippi Karate Association. Mr. Sellers was a member of the Great Commission Assembly of God of Philadelphia. Survivors include sons, Andy Sellers (Kasey) of Philadelphia, MS, Isaac Sellers (Christain Bowman) of Batesville, MS; daughter-in-law, Bethany Sellers of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Kayleigh Lauren Sellers and Andrew Hayden Sellers. Preceding Mr. Sellers in death were his son, Austin Sellers; sister, Betty Jane Crane; and parents, Wilber “Bo” and Roma Sellers. Pallbearers are Barry Pettit, David Turk, Greg Turk, Michael Reynolds, Dewayne Copeland, Rush Hembree, Jr., Wade Coghlan, Shan Winstead and Noah Quick.
