Earnest G. Stovall

Funeral services for Earnest G. Stovall will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00p.m. from McLain Chapel Church with Rev. J.W. Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in McLain Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 4:00-7:00p.m. at McClain Hays Funeral Home. He was a native of Neshoba County, Graduate from Neshoba Central High School. After High school he joined the U.S. Air Force and received his honorable discharge. After leaving the service he attended and graduated from East Central Community College with his AS degree and Mississippi State University with his BS degree. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union #917 and worked abroad until 1984, then started his own plumbing and electrical business for several years until his retirement in 2010. Earnest was a member and past master of Coffadeliah Lodge #371. He enjoyed fishing, farming and racing horses but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Survivors include his daughters, Beverly Ketelsen of Philadelphia and Esther (Kellis Greer) Drury of Philadelphia; son, Dewey (Shanna) Stovall of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Dustin (Brittni) Moody, Dylan (Trey) Daugherty, C J Ketelsen, Clay Drury, Annesley Drury, Wyatt Greer, Waylon Greer, Chandler Stovall, Anna Shae Stovall; great grandchildren, Blakely Woods, Easton Daugherty, Mason Moody, Lane Moody and Auburn Moody. Preceded in death by his father, Earnest Stovall, step-father and mother Johnnie and Rachel Yates, one infant sister. Pallbearers are Dustin Moody, C J Ketelsen, Wyatt Greer, Waylon Greer, Chandler Stovall, Chad Nelson and Don McArthur.
