Funeral services for Earl Lamar Cumberland will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Kelly Tingle and Bro. Clint Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Golden Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Cumberland, 81, of Union, MS died Saturday, July 1, 2023. Earl was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Golden Grove Community. He was retired from Weyerhaeuser after 32 years. Mr. Cumberland was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Survivors include his children, Kathy Winstead (David), Ricky Cumberland, Tammy Stamper (Steve) and Jennifer McElhenney (Vince); six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Marlene Ellingburg; brothers, Jerry Cumberland and Willis Cumberland. Mr. Cumberland was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Cumberland; five brothers; one sister; one great-grandchild; parents, Bud and Julia Cumberland. Pallbearers are, Ricky Cumberland, Steve Stamper, David Winstead, Jon Paul Wilkinson, Vince McElhenney, Austin McElhenney, Hastings Westbrook, Jeremy Hamm and Steve Beason. Honorary Pallbearers are, Brennon Hamm, Bradyn Wilkinson and Justin McRee. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Enon Baptist Church: 12301 Road 248 Union, MS 39365
