Services for Dwight Griffin will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Steve Robinson, Rev. Tommy Anderson and Rev. Eric Embry officiating. Burial will follow in Hembree Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Griffin, 80, died Friday, June 14, 2019 He was a native of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Fairview Community. He formerly worked at Weyerhaeuser in Philadelphia until 1976.  He was Chief Deputy for Johnny Phillips from 1976 until 1984, then served 17 years until his retirement at Union Police Department.  Mr. Griffin was a member of Dixon Baptist Church; a member of the National Rifle Assn; and a member of Diver Rescue Unit in Neshoba County.  He served for a number of years in Mississippi Army National Guard. Survived by his wife, Gail Griffin of Philadelphia; sons, Ricky Griffin (Brandy) of Philadelphia, Ronnie Robinson (Michelle) of Chunky, Steve Robinson (Vicky) of Union, and Ken French (Sharon) of Union; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three special nieces and their families; and his special pet Rosie. Mr. Griffin was preceded in death by his daughter, Nikki Griffin Haynes; infant son, Ronald; triplets, Terry, Jerry, and Sherry; parents, Raymond and Edna Earl Griffin; sister, Peggie Sullivan. Pallbearers are Justis Lilley, Brayden Lilley, Cade Griffin, Zach Griffin, David Boatner, Jerry Hamm, Gus Johnson, Robbie Stovall.  Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Robinson, Joseph French, Andrew French, Greg Cosgrove, Joel Cosgrove and Brad Cosgrove.
