Doug "Redbug" Hardy

A graveside service for Doug “Red Bug” Hardy will be held at 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia with Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hardy, 58, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, March 29, 2020, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County. He formerly worked as warehouse manager for the Co-op and Yates Construction. Mr. Hardy was Christian by faith. Survivors include wife, Laura Hardy of Philadelphia, MS; daughter, Kayla Hardy of Toxey, AL; son, Thomas Hardy of Collinsville, MS; grandchildren, Lauren Clare Gatlin and Adalynn Kay Stanley; mother, Reba Hardy of Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews and their families. Mr. Hardy was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Hardy; two brothers, Billy Hardy and Jesse Hardy. Pallbearers are Jimmy Smith, Chad Grantham, Robert Davis, Ricky Goodin, Clyde Kilpatrick, and Brett Fox, Sr. Honorary pallbearers are Don Grantham, Kevin Savell and Ray Burrage.
