Dorothy Stovall

Services for Dorothy Stovall will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating.  Burial will follow at McLain Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.  McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. April 18, 1943, God blessed Carl and Katie Denton with their youngest daughter, Dorothy Maye Denton.  She grew up to be a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  On August 4, 1959, she married her beloved husband, Newell Austin Stovall.  She worked at U. S. Motors for many years, and then worked at Richardson Molding for over 30 years before retiring in 2017 at the age of 74.  She loved to work in her flowers and garden, always calling herself a farmer. Mrs. Stovall died on January 10th at Anderson Hospital at the age of 75. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newell Stovall; son, Johnny Stovall; sister, Jean James; and brothers, Billy and Jerry Denton.  She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Lisa Stokes of Philadelphia, MS, Telena (Joe) Haskins of Pensacola, FL, and by her son, Jammy (Rhonda) Stovall of Philadelphia, MS.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ben (Jennifer) Stokes, Casey (Anna) Stokes, Chris (Lindsey) Haskins, Jeremy (Kierah) Haskins, Matthew Stovall, Megan Stovall,Samantha Stovall and Sarah Stovall; 12 great-grandchildren; and by her brother, Ellis Denton; and sisters-in-law, Ruby Kirkland, Trudy McArthur, and Barbara Stovall. Pallbearers are Ben Stokes, Casey Stokes, Chris Haskins, Jeremy Haskins, Mike Sanderford, and Shaun Howell.
