Dorothy "Dot" Lundy Petty

Graveside service for Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Lundy Petty will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Cedarlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Young and Rev. Kenneth Owen officiating. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Petty, 90, of Meridian, MS died Monday, June 22, 2020. She was a native and longtime resident of Neshoba County and was a retired assistant manager at J.C. Penny Store in Philadelphia. Mrs. Petty was a member of First United Methodist Church of Philadelphia and was active in many church activities (M&M Club, etc.). She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Belvin (Richard) of Meridian; grandson, Terry Haskett of Meridian; brother, Raymond Lundy (Glenda) of Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Karon Lundy of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Petty is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Petty; daughter, Lynn Haskett; brother, Dalton Lundy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia or your favorite charity. Pallbearers are Jeff Lundy, David Lundy, Billy Gray, Jerry Whitehead and Richard Belvin. Honorary pallbearer is Buddy Fortenberry.
