Graveside services for Dorothy Burkes Ridout Brown will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 at 4 p.m. from Bethsaida Cemetery with Rev. Chad Ridout and Rev. Billy James officiating. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brown, 89, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County and she loved to fish and garden. She worked in the Food Service Industry for Neshoba County Public School System and Neshoba General Hospital until her retirement. Mrs. Brown was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Ridout of Philadelphia; sons, Dewayne Ridout (Kathy), Johnny Lee Ridout (Theresa) and James Rodney Ridout (Cathy) all of Philadelphia; stepchildren, Sandra Matthews (Richard) of Philadelphia, Roger Mark Brown (Janet) of Ecru, and Lisa Jones of Cuba, AL; 12 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ruth of Eversville, IN and Ludine of Peoria, IL. Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her first husband, W.A. Ridout, Jr. and her second husband, Roger A. Brown; brothers, Jimmy Dale Burkes, Dwight Burkes, Maurice Burkes, and Frankie Lee Burkes.
