Doris Clay Swicegood

Funeral services for Doris Clay Swicegood will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Pastor Butch Clay and Pastor Ruskin Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 9 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Swicegood, 86, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, May 29, 2021 at her home. She was a native of Oklahoma and a former longtime resident of New Orleans. She was retired from Oschner Hospital where she worked numerous years in clerical work, then she moved back to Philadelphia to be with family. Mrs. Swicegood was Church of Christ by faith. Survivors include her daughter, Sissy Killen (Buddy) of Philadelphia; sons, Butch Clay (Charlene) of Macon, MS and Steve Clay of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Ruskin Clay, Raleigh Clay, Amber Rand, Chad Clay, Cody Killen and Colt Killen; great-grandchildren; Mak Clay, Charis Clay, Leo Clay and Charlie Cruz Killen; sister, Louise Ellis of Colcord, Ok; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Swicegood was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Clay, Sr.; parents, Lloyd and Harriet May Brown; sister, Marlene Lawrence; brothers, Kenny and Earl Brown.
