Funeral services for Donald L. Chunn will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 1p.m. from Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Bob Goodyear officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. departure time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Chunn, 68, of Philadelphia, died Monday, February 19, 2024. Donald was born in Rankin County, MS and has lived his whole life in Neshoba County and attended Neshoba Central Schools. He later joined the MS National Guard and was employed for Stokes Auto Parts for 32 years plus. He loved going daily to visit his family in the logging business. He enjoyed deer hunting, riding the backroads, Joe Andy Helton Auctions on Saturday night and dearly loved his family. Mr. Chunn was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Paulia Chunn of Philadelphia; son, Donnie Chunn of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Emaleigh and Pyper Leigh Chunn; grandson, Donnie Evan Chunn (Sydney) all of Philadelphia; sister, Dewanda Foxhall (Lee) of Philadelphia; god-daughters, Tonya Flowers (Donald) of Philadelphia and Candice Gore (Mark) of Union; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Chunn was preceded in death by son, Jessie Leigh Chunn; parents, Edison Leon Chunn and Emma Lou Ladd; sisters, Yvonne C. Ishee and Debbie H. Chunn. In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to Holy Rosary Cemetery Fund.
