Diane Smith

Funeral services for Diane Smith will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Skinner and Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith, 76, of Calera, AL., died January 15, 2024. Diane was a native of Neshoba County and was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School, the class of 1964 and a 1966 graduate of ECCC. She worked in Administrative Accounting for most of her career from US Motors through various Church and Christian Organizations. She enjoyed arts, crafts, flower gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in House Community. Survivors include husband of 57 years, James D. Smith of Calera, AL; son, Steve Smith (Laura) of Calera, AL; grandchildren, Madison Smith and Anderson Smith; sister, Janice Alawine of House, MS; brother, Roland Chisolm of House, MS; sister-in-law, Deborah Reynolds (Larry) of House, MS; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Oneta Chisolm. Pallbearers, Anderson, Smith, Paul Payne, Mitchell Alawine, Tony Alawine, Jonathan Ryals and Christian Richardson.
