Funeral services for Dian Belk Hemphill will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Arrie Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Neshoba Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 for 9 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mrs. Hemphill, 73, of Louisville, MS died Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Dian was a native of Neshoba County and worked at Midland Shirt Factory for several years and at Williams Brothers. She loved training race horses with her first husband, Dolphus and continued after his passing and she traveled to different states while training the horses. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Hemphill was a member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church in Winston County, where she taught Sunday School. Survivors include her husband, Perry Hemphill of Louisville; daughter, Pamela Belk Lovern (Jason) of Philadelphia; grand-daughter, Hannah Adams of Philadelphia; step-daughter, Jennifer Collins (Jimmy) of Jasper, AL; step-son, Chris Hemphill (Carol) of Louisville; step grandchildren, Jonah Collins, Ashley Duncan, Mollie Lovern and Chance Lovern; six great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Pettey; brothers, Larry, Ricky, Danny Ray, Randy and Marty Long; half-brothers, Josh and Jeff Long; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Mrs. Hemphill was preceded in death by first husband, Dolphus Belk; parents, Lester and Lillie Mae Peebles Long; half-brother, Jesse Long. Pallbearers, Justin Long, Ty Long, Eric Long, Dylan Long, Chris Long, Richard Johnson, Stacey Johnson and Michael Pettey.
