Funeral services for Dennis Ferguson will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Randy Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Ferguson, 63, of Carthage, died Saturday, January 6, 2024. Dennis was born in Louisiana and at the age of 13 moved to Neshoba County and attended Neshoba Central School. He worked for Michael’s Corp. for 35 years in maintenance until his retirement and then he moved to Carthage. He loved to fish, grill, watch the deer from his porch, play video games, Harry Potter and tinker in his shed. He was always known as a hard worker and dearly loved his family and spending time with them and he will be missed. Mr. Ferguson was Baptist by faith. Survivors include wife, Melinda Vowell; children, Lee (Tonya) Bradshaw, Angel (Cody) Edwards, April (Keith) Love, Scotty (Stephanie) Edwards and Chris (Cristina) Edwards; grandchildren, Aaron (Amber) Sullivan, Jay (Mallory) Bradshaw, Josh (Karlee) Bowman, Breanna (Dylan) Griffin, Ayden Bradshaw, David (Madelyn) Tennyson, Devon Tennyson, Alton Edwards, Hunter Edwards, Rodney Nance, Malayah Miller, Khaliyah Love, Camden Fanchier, Ava Edwards, Brett Edwards, Kaden Edwards and Cassie Edwards; great-grandchildren, Liam Bowman, Jaciey Bowman and Piper Tennyson and four on the way; sister, Rita (Gary) Lillis; brothers, Richard (Sandra) Ferguson, Bruce (Nikki) Ferguson, Jesse (Heather) Ferguson and Billy (Amanda) Ferguson; father-in-law, Willie Alton (Patricia) Buford, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Troy Wayne Buford and Jr. (Cassie) Buford; several nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Ferguson was preceded in death by parents, Willis and Marie Ferguson; sons, David Ferguson and Chance Nance; sister, Sandra Ferguson. Pallbearers will be David Tennyson, Devon Tennyson, Alton Edwards, Cody Ferguson, Ayden Bradshaw and Will Ferguson. In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
