Delbert L. "Dale" Tolbert

Funeral services for Delbert L. “Dale” Tolbert will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow in Henry’s Chapel Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at McClain-Hays Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Tolbert, 67, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. He was a native of the Fork Community in Neshoba and a longtime resident of Philadelphia. He was a retired commercial truck driver. Mr. Tolbert was Pentecostal by faith. Survivors include his wife, La Tolbert of Philadelphia, MS; son, Jimmy Roberts of Philadelphia, MS; daughters, Taneil Roberts of Memphis, TN and Stacey Tolbert of Flowood, MS; five grandchildren, Brooke Winstead, Jessica Coleman, Tyler Roberts, Erica Roberts, and Shayla Long; seven great-grandchildren; mother, Martha Burton; stepmother, Betty Tolbert; two sisters, Tammy and Sheila; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Lucille Boswell, Mr and Mrs. Leon Holley; father, Jack Tolbert, and brother, Gene Tolbert.
