Services for David Lee Williams will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 3 p.m.from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Dan Howard and Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 1 p.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams, 78, died Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was a native and longtime resident of Philadelphia, Ms. He had served in The United States Army and was a retired Band Director. He taught at multiple high schools across Mississippi and spent several years managing Monroe Williams Department Store. Mr. Williams was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. He was a member of The Gideons International and was a USATF master level official for over 25 years. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hardy Williams of Philadelphia; sons, John David Williams (Kelly) of Philadelphia, Rev. Mark Williams (Melanie) of Grenada; five grandchildren, Beck, Mary Lee, Will, Micah and Malaree. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Maggie Williams.
