Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. David Jay officiating. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home. Mr. Breazeale, 73, of Philadelphia, died Monday, May 15, 2023, at his home. Born in Marks, MS, and raised in Greenwood, MS, he attended Greenwood High School and also attended Delta State University. He moved his family to Philadelphia in March, 1981, and worked as an observer on a seismograph crew for a short time. He and his wife, Joyce, built chicken houses in April 2004, and they are still operational today. He loved fishing, model trains, working, and piddling. Mr. Breazeale was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Long Breazeale; sons, Cooper Breazeale (Megan) of Philadelphia, MS, Joshua Breazeale (Barbara) of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Jennifer Watkins (Glen) of Tampa, FL; eleven grandchildren, Jack, Ryan, Alex, Eric, Lance, Seth, Bethany, Alissah, Frannie, Tommy, and Jack; brothers, Wade Breazeale, Jr., of Ethel, MS, and Tommy Breazeale (Don Sexton) of Portland, OR; many nieces, nephews and their families. Preceding Mr. Breazeale in death were his parents, Wade Breazeale, Sr., and Frances Pybas Breazeale; sister, Estelle Becton; and brother, Paul Breazeale. Pallbearers are Adam Byrd, Keven Hobby, Kevin Breazeale, Jimmy Riley, Eric Majure and Wayne Johnson. In lieu of flowers, family requests all memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or American Cancer Society.
