Services will be held for Danny Dickinson on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 2 p. m. from Macedonia Revival Center in Neshoba County with Rev. Leslie Courtney and Bro. Bryan Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 5 until 8 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dickinson, 62, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 10, 2019, at Merit Health River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, MS. A native of Neshoba County, he was a graduate of Neshoba Central High School and attended ECCC. He moved to Trinity, TX, after college and worked as an ironworker for several years until he retired. He then began his second career as a prison guard for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, retiring after 20 years of service. Mr. Dickinson was a member of Macedonia Revival Center in Neshoba County. Survivors include wife, Katie Lee Dickinson of Philadelphia; daughter, Dayna (Charles) Emrick of Starkville; two grandchildren; stepdaughters, Stella (Todd) Gray and Priscilla (Bradley) Drury, both of Philadelphia; five step-grandchildren; mother, Deloris Skinner of Philadelphia; brother, Donnie (Janet) Dickinson of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Dickinson was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Plaisance; and father, Homer Dickinson.
