Funeral services for Chloe Mason Luke will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church in Union with Rev. John Martin and Rev. Corey Fontan officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at First Baptist Church. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Luke, 100, of Union, died Thursday, February 17, 2022, at J. G. Alexander Nursing Center in Union. She was a native of the Linwood Community of Neshoba County and a longtime resident of Union, MS. She retired from Wells-Lamont in Philadelphia and had previously served as a mail carrier during WWII while residing in Pascagoula. Mrs. Luke was a member of First Baptist Church in Union where she participated in WMU, choir, taught Sunday school and Bible school, and served with homebound ministries. She formerly volunteered as a pink lady at Laird Hospital. Survivors include daughters, Pam Cliburn (Ed) of Union, Kay Thompson of Brandon, Gwen Peters (Ron) of Floral City, FL; six grandchildren, Gene Cliburn (Sherri), Carrie Clark (Rusty), Jason Comans (Selina), Amie Frulla (Jason), Luke Comans (Stacey), and Kathy Land; several great and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Mason and Charles Mason, both of Union; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Preceding Mrs. Luke in death were her husband, Edgar Luke; an infant son; parents, Barney and Carman Mason; sisters, Virginia Rivers, Lois Williams, and Marian Isbell. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gideons International, First Baptist Church of Union, or your favorite charity.
