Charlotte Warren Nicholson

Graveside services for Charlotte Warren Nicholson will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Morrow Cemetery in the Dixon Community with Bro. Mack Alford officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 11 a.m. until departure time from McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Charlotte was born in the Shady Grove Community of Neshoba County and moved to Philadelphia at a young age and where she remained until her death.

Charlotte departed this world on January 6, 2025, with family by her side. She was a member of Beacon Street Baptist Church for over sixty years, where she served on Church committees at different levels. She started her working career at The Bank of Philadelphia while still in high school. After graduation she went to work for Mars Brothers Department store as a bookkeeper and later moved to Thompson Welding, Barham Paint & Glass, Prince Oil and back to The Bank of Philadelphia, where she remained until her retirement in 2000.

She was active with the Cub Scouts, while her children were young and was a member of the BPW and served as Woman of the Year. She was active in the GWRRA (Gold Wing Road Riders Association) with the Meridian, MS Chapter (Queen City Wings) where they served in different capacities including Ride Educators, Member Enchantment, Chapter Directors, Couple of the Year and they were leaders in the Philadelphia Cruisers car club until her health deteriorated.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Arthur Larry Nicholson; sons, James Nicholson and Jeffrey Nicholson (Windy); grandchildren, Cody, Chase and Cale Nicholson; great grandchild, Willow Grace Nicholson; sister, Dorothy McNeil; sister-in-law; Fay Warren; several nieces, nephews and their families.

Mrs. Nicholson was preceded in death by her parents, James Hack Warren and Lillian Marshall Warren; brothers, Norman Warren (Jewel), Woodard (Woody) Warren (Christine), and Cooper Warren.

Pallbearers will be Cody Nicholson, Chase Nicholson, Cale Nicholson, John McNeil, Terry Warren and Mark Majure.

Honorary pallbearers Mack Jones, Robbie Cheatham, Steve Wilkerson and James Chaney.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.

We would like to thank the staff of the Neshoba County Nursing Home and Quality Hospice for their care and understanding.
