Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Service with Bro. Dwight Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Charlotte Ann Fox, a resident of Jackson, MS, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20th, 2024, at the age of 92. Charlotte was born on August 16th, 1932, to Everett and Esther Lee. A devoted homemaker, Charlotte will always be remembered for her gentle spirit and boundless love she extended to her family.
She is lovingly survived by her children and their families: daughters Teresa Dubaz, Carmen Marker (Steve), Jennifer Eidt (Paul), Nicole Woodall (John), and her son Grady Michael. Charlotte’s grandchildren Amanda Stubbs, Crystal Rouse, Hannah Marshall, Bailee Case, Chris Fairchild, and Blair Eidt held a special place in her heart, as did her great-grandchildren Alex Lawson, Carley Williams, Tanner Culbertson, Carson Rouse, and Eli Case, and her great-great-granddaughters Kennedi Culbertson and Khloe Culbertson. She is also survived by her dear siblings Claudia Stone and Francis Myers (C.B.), sister-in-law Ernestine Lee, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carlie "Runt" Fox, her brother Mooney Lee, and her parents Everett and Esther Lee.
Charlotte was born and grew up in the Plattsburg community of Winston County. She attended Arlington School. Known for her love of country music, cats, NASCAR, and soap operas, Charlotte was a talented cook and took immense pride in being a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother. Her faith as a Baptist guided her through life and provided a foundation for the legacy she leaves behind.
Pallbearers for the services will be Blair Eidt, Carson Rouse, Paul Eidt, Steve Marker, Leslie Myers, and Alan Stone.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Charlotte will be deeply missed by all who knew her and cherished her unwavering love and dedication to her family and community. May she rest in eternal peace.
