Graveside services for Charles “Punk” May will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. from Cooks Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Davey Wilkinson and Rev. Mitchell McDonald officiating . McClain-Hays Funeral Home Is in charge of arrangements. Mr. May, 83, of Philadelphia died at his home on Saturday, April 4, 2020. He was a native and lifelong resident of Forestdale Community of Neshoba County. He retired after 31 years from U.S. Motors of Philadelphia and was an avid fisherman, gardener, and loved going to Latimer’s store daily to talk with friends. Mr. May was a member of Cooks Chapel United Methodist Church and was a Mason and member of Coffadeliah Lodge. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Sherby May; daughter, Debbie Cosgrove (Greg) of Philadelphia; sons, Bobby May (Tonya) of Philadelphia and Brian Stark (Julie Ramos) of Tenafly, N.J.; grandchildren; Brittany and Kelsey Cosgrove, J.C. May and Eliana Stark; sisters, Carolyn Williamson (Son), Sarah Luke (Frankie) and Shirley Sharp (Devon) all of Philadelphia; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. May was preceded in death by his parents, Vardaman and Virgie May; brothers, Joe, Tom, Jack, and James “Tater” May. Family would like to thank Quality Hospice and their staff for the love and care shown to Punk during his last days.
