Graveside services for Charles Alford will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2 p.m. from Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Jones, Rev. Sean Rodgers and Rev. Kerry Collins officiating.Visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McClain- Hays Chapel . McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Alford, 70, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, August 5, 2020. He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Neshoba County all of his life and worked at U.S. Motors for 36 years. He loved to go to the mountains, going to see the Atlanta Braves and the MS Braves. He dearly loved his wife, son and granddaughters and going to church. Mr. Alford was a member of Philadelphia Church of God. Survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Nancy Alford of Philadelphia; son, Brad Alford of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Madison McLain (Eric) and Morgan Alford of Philadelphia; brothers, Dale Alford (Gail) and Robert Alford (Tammy) of Philadelphia; sisters, Theresa Martin (Joe) of Pearl, Patsy Brown (Terry) of Flora, Clara Sullivan (John) and Edna Earl Simpson of Philadelphia; special cousin, Annette Wall of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces, nephews and their families. Mr. Alford was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lavurn Alford; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
