Cassia Marie Tullos Edenfield

December 28, 1945 — August 14, 2024

Cassia Marie (Tullos) Edenfield, 78, of Philadelphia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, entered into eternal life, August 14, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Clemit and Hilda Tullos, and brother Paul Tullos. Deeply caring with an unwavering devotion to her family, she was a wonderful wife and mother, who was known for her warmth, and generosity. She had an infectious smile, an amazing laugh, and saw the good in everyone. Cassia graduated from Neshoba Central and completed her nurses training in Vicksburg. She proudly served in the Air Force as a First Lieutenant, and met her beloved husband when they were both stationed in Montgomery, AL. During the span of her 25-year career as an RN, Cassia worked primarily in Post-Op and ER, as well as at a blood bank and VA Hospital. A natural caretaker with a gentle spirit and a strong will, she bravely fought cancer never complaining or asking why, but rather giving it up to God; a testament to her strong faith and conviction. Cassia is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John Edenfield; loving daughter Jennifer Edenfield; loving son Chris Hayes (Kristin), grandchildren Connor and Devin Hayes; sister, Theresa Phillips (Thomas), brothers Tony Tullos (Jan), Chip Tullos (Toni), Greg Tullos (Judy), Joe Tullos, Frank Tullos (Susan) and Jeff Tullos (Tanya); and numerous nieces and nephews. A devout Catholic, Cassia’s faith was the cornerstone of who she was and how she lived. Her giving nature resulted in many years of support for various charities including St Jude’s and Priests for Life. Funeral services will be held at Holy Rosary in Philadelphia on Monday, August 19, 2024. A rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. followed by family graveside service and reception. In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations to the American Cancer Society be made in Cassia’s memory. Cassia will be deeply missed by her family, but her legacy of love and faith will live on. She will be forever In our hearts.
