Carolyn Avis Heiser

It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the news of Carolyn Heiser’s passing, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who left us on January 2, 2025. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Carolyn embraced life in Philadelphia, MS, over the past five years. She held a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling from California State University, Northridge, which laid the foundation for her impactful career as a records administrator at a Fortune 500 medical company for nearly thirty years. Mrs. Heiser was not only dedicated to her profession but also to her community. She volunteered passionately at her local library, inspiring others through her love of literature, especially mysteries. Gardening brought her joy and tranquility, and she often spent her afternoons nurturing her plants and enjoying the beauty of nature. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Michael Heiser (Wanda) of Philadelphia; daughters, Jenifer Heiser and Julianne Bachman; and a proud grandmother to Mandy, Jeffrey, Brandon, Samantha, Theo, Rigel, and Cera. Her legacy continues with her two great-grandchildren, Alexander and Kensley. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will take place at a later date. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
