Buster Dee Bennett

Graveside services for Buster Dee Bennett will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10 a.m. from Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bennett, 95, of Winston County, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023. Buster was a native and longtime resident of Winston County. He served in the United States Army and worked at U.S. Motors for several years before his retirement. He enjoyed farming, raising chickens and growing a garden. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Udine Bennett of Philadelphia; sister, Janice Keene of Jackson; a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Bennett is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nanna M. Thompson; brothers, Coleman, Roswald, Edward, Woodrow and Grover.
