Brandon Alan Blount

Funeral services for Brandon Alan Blount will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12 noon from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Jamie Lamoreaux and Brett Hilton officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. Visitation will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 10 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mr. Blount, 52, of Carthage died Sunday, September 29, 2024.

Brandon was born in Washington, DC to Steve and Deborah Blount. He lived in several states growing up and was a graduate of Westfield High School in Spring, TX. He was employed several years as a Jack-Up Boat Captain and at the time of his passing he was employed at Levi Strauss where he had been for 10 years. Brandon was a jack of all trades and could build and fix anything. He dearly loved his family and was always there for them and will be missed. He loved his pets and to spend time outdoors fishing. Mr. Blount attended Farmhaven Baptist Church with his wife when he could.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Linda “Crystal” Blount of Carthage, MS; daughter, Katelyn DeMatteo (Dakota West) of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Alexi Burnette of Carthage, MS; father, Steve Blount of Houston, TX; brother, Joshua Blount (Pamela) of Houston, TX; niece, Kirsten Blount of Texas.

Mr. Blount was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Blount; grandparents, Dencil and Imogene Blount and James and Marie Shively.

Pallbearers will be Eric Easley, Brett Hilton, Payton Lewis, Dakota West, Logan Coffee and Marvin Compton. Honorary pallbearer Josh Blount.
