Services for Bonnie Gean Rucker will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. David Hardy and Rev. Lonnie Alexander officiating. Visitation will begin Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery of the Stephenstown Community in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Miss Rucker, 85, of Newton, died Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, she attended County Line and Beatline schools. She began her career with Midland Shirt Factory early in life where she worked for 35 years and became a supervisor before the plant was closed. She then worked several years for Garan as a machine operator until her retirement. Miss Rucker was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Stephenstown. Survivors include sisters, Martha Ann Marsh, Bessie Mae Ford and Lessie Faye Chunn, all of Philadelphia, MS; and Linda Jane Watkins of Decatur, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews. Miss Rucker was preceded in death by parents, Pete Mimzy and Minnie Lee Rucker; sisters, Bertha Lee Rucker, Thelma Dean Gill and Mattie Lou Creighton. Pallbearers are Buddy Beckham, Buddy Bozeman, Howard Holland, Dale Conn, Eric Gibbs, Scotty Graham, Shannon Beckham, Joseph Bozeman and Ike Barrier.
