Bobby Slaton

A memorial service for Bobby Slaton will be held at a later date. Mr. Slaton, 63, of DeKalb, died Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. He was a native of Kemper County. He served in the U. S. Army and worked as a CNA for various nursing homes. Mr. Slaton was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church. Survivors include niece, Amy Sartin (Sean) of Jayess, MS; and son, David Slaton of Jayess, MS. Preceding Mr. Slaton in death were his parents, Luther and Nita Slaton; sisters, Pat Higgins, Mary Skipper, and Hazel Thorp; and brother, Kent Slaton.
